Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't shave much. Homeschooling friends think it's because I'm too crunchy to shave. Really, I'm just lazy, and have super sensitive skin too, especially in cold weather.

I'm with you on the looking dumpy in skirts thing. I have a couple of A line skirts that I wear to church and such, but frankly they don't work to well for hauling laundry baskets over baby gates and such. But I don't wear skirts all the time anyway. I have made some very comfortable, not too bad looking skirts by hand, and I don't sew very well. They weren't difficult. A skirt-wearing-only friend showed me how.
