It's the night before...and I'm thinking of you! Just wanted you to know that I'm holding you in prayer tonight and tomorrow!
I'm also praying for the surgeon and the team of people assisting - and that sweet little Lily has pleasant dreams! And beyond that....pain management! I'm in it for the long haul! Peace be yours, my friend!

Praying for sweet Lily tonight and offering my day tomorrow for her and her worried momma and family...also asking for the intercession of Sts. Cosmas and Damien to guide the surgeons and doctors caring for your precious baby girl!

I missed 4ladsmom's call a little while ago but she left me a message - unfortunately Lily's surgery could not take place as Lily has a slight cold - and it is too risky for her to have the surgery today. Please keep praying - I am sure 4ladsmom will update when she gets home.

I've kept Lily in mind and was just checking in. I'll continue praying for her to feel better, and for the surgery on its rescheduled date!

Thanks so much, everyone!! Your prayers for peace have been answered, I am very at peace with the decision to wait. I called yesterday to tell the surgeon's office she had been sick, but was recovering nicely, her ped had seen her and she sounded clear, and they said,"fine, they don't normally cancel over a runny nose." She didn't have a fever, and her cough was minimal.
We drove three hours this morning, and after anesthesia heard she had a cold last week, and was still a little "snotty" and coughing a tiny bit more than usual, the anesthesiologist cancelled the case. He was the same one who had her last year when she quit breathing twice....before the surgery had begun..and he remembered Lily without hestitation (he had that look like, OH, it is YOU, little trouble maker!!  )...and relayed to me how bad it really was last year when she crashed on him. He said many kids bronchospasm, but Lily was the worst he had ever seen, (wow..what a distinction!  )and he had a hard time getting her breathing. He felt with any, any compromise of her airway, esp, in the last week, it was too high of a risk to take. Soooooo, I was initially feeling quite sick about it when I heard the murmurings that they might cancel, but after hearing the doc's strong feelings on it... I prayed that God's Will be done, and if it was cancelled, than that was His way of getting my baby home safe. God is Good...all of the time.
They are rescheduling for six weeks, with the hope that she'll be healthy...  Okaaaay, that is a stretch, but I know He's in charge...and you know my favorite saying, "I am on a 'need to know' basis with God...and right now--I don't need to know" how that is all going to shake out.
The good news...I have a very clean house and food for the next few days!!!
Off to unpack and take it easy.
Thank you, dear Friends..I am really, really touched by your kind words and assurances of prayers....in the end I think our prayers were answered. Lily is back to running around playing with her babies and bossing the big boys around!

SIX weeks!!! Sheesh! What a long wait!
It is good the doctor listens to his gut feelings! That is God talking to him!
