I first posted about my cousin, Joann, here.
She thought she was starting to do a lot better and had been really cheery about it. A couple of weeks ago she had another scan and they found that the cancer has spread to her brain, which explains her recent headaches. Our hearts just break for her and her young family. Her son (correction) is 4. Her husband is doing better and has been more accepting and is praying with her and her parents again, every night. Her parents are here and staying with her so she has support at home. But it's still very difficult and stressful for all of them.
We are all praying for God's will to be done but we are also still praying for a miracle for her. We found out that two of her first cousins on mom's side died in their 20's because of cancer. But my cousin is still hoping and praying and doing everything she can to fight this. She goes to every Healing Mass she can find in her area and made major changes to her diet in the last 8 months. She received chemo last Sunday but the headaches and after effects were very painful for her. Please pray for her and her family as they go through this ordeal. And if you could say some prayers for us too, that we are able to give them the kind of support they need even from afar.

Stef sweetie, I am praying hard for her. I will pray for many graces and blessings to be gifted to her and all those struggling with her.
hmmm...there are several up and coming saints of the U.S...time to get them busy, huh?

Joann passed away early this morning.
Please pray for the repose of her soul, her husband Ronald and her little boy Ian.
There are 34 of us, her first cousins, not to mention 9 sets of uncles/aunts, and her own siblings and parents, scattered all over the globe, mourning her -- we have beautiful memories of her and already miss her so much.
Thank you for your prayers.
