I can understand, Marilyn -- my littlest had severe diarrhoea and vomiting earlier this year and it was horrible.
They prescribed Dioralyte -- oral rehydration fluids -- but he couldn't even keep that down. Eventually he was admitted to hospital and had a naso-gastric tube which really helped. Here, at least, they do that first before trying IV fluids as it's less invasive. It might be worth asking about that if you end up going down that path.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. It has been one very LONG day. Michael is doing better - I literally had to dropper the fluid into him drop by drop - but we avoided the hospital. The Zofran really worked quickly. He is more hydrated - no more throwing up though still other gastro symptoms. He is now sleeping peacefully (ribs poking through  - but peacefully sleeping). Anna is nursing well and smiling as usual. We are praying that she will avoid it altogether and that Michael will recover soon.
I so appreciate all of you and your prayers and concern.

I'm so glad and relieved to read this update tonight, Marilyn!!! Praying that tonight is restful for your little guy and that tomorrow brings high calorie consumption!

Marilyn, just seeing this now. I am praying for a steady recovery for your ds, and that your dd will not get this terrible flu. I'm so happy that he is doing better!

So sorry I didn't see it sooner, but you are always in our prayers and we will continue to pray for a steady improvement and that Anna or anyone else does not get sick.

Thanks be to God and St. Michael....and St. Ann...and St. Joseph, we implored on all of them yesterday after your initial email. The boys will be relieved to hear Michael is doing better.

Please keep praying - he is still very sick and weak and needs 24/7 monitoring - now I am not well and I have to keep going - just everyone needs me and I have no energy - and I am trying to make a special day for my dd. Please pray that I can just breathe - I am so struggling to get each breath.
