Please say a prayer that we handle this right...
My sons were playing with a rope swinging under a tree in our backyard. This same tree let go of a big chunk of it from WEIGHT of SNOW last october. We were told that this tree was ok for now.
Well, my difficult neighbor in the back came out and TOOK A PICTURE of my kids on this tree saying something to the fact that it would be nice if it fell and broke more things. My kids on her film...not good. I am waiting for dh to come home and I will confront her.
Please say a prayer for us...I don't need any trouble with anyone right now. I really do wish we could just move now and be done with it. God is the only one who knows that we can actually do that...sigh!
This kind of thing makes my heart squirm.

I do agree, picture taking is very creepy and that is why I didn't let this go. Mama hen's intuition said...can't let this one slide...
Well, dh and I walked over there that night after he got home from work. Her dh opened the door and she was close behind. I started the conversation saying that We were told that she was taking a picture of my son and talking about the tree and we wanted to make sure that there wasn't any problems. She said she was taking a pic of her dogs...(my ds did not see them) but! When were we taking that darned tree down.
I told her that we were told it was safe for the time being and eventually it would come down and the tree guy was supposed to be here for maintenance of the trees out front in October and he would be discussing options for removal at that time. She still says that she doesn't see how we could let that kind of thing go and I just repeated what I said and also, that is why we came over to make sure they understood the situation.
I could tell that this lady is a high-stress woman and our appearance at the front door tamed her somewhat. So now I have my plan as to handle any other outbursts from her...with dh at her front door after giving her a few moments to calm down.
Darn it, I hate being an adult some times. Why can't everyone just be all warm and friendly? I am all for that heaven on earth idea!

Oh Donna Marie, I completely empathize with you! We have had troubles in the past, though many years ago now, we used sacramentals such as miraculous medals and blessed salt with great faith and our prayers were always greatly answered!
I'm offering that beautiful miraculous medal prayer for you now as well as some memorares..praying this resolves..it certainly sounds horrible.

Yuck Donna Marie! I am so sorry. Boys are so misunderstood by neighbors.
Oh, I am feeling your pain so much. I have been in this same boat. Try to remain cheery and nice. It might help difuse it. Maybe hear her out and act with some sympathy as to what her worries are. Gosh, I am so sorry. Maybe she will feel listened to and stop that passive aggressive stuff.
What's up with the camera? Weird.

Seriously Donna Marie, if your neighbor took a pic of your kids on your property, I'd call the police if I were you - that is not legal and it is indeed very creepy! I can so relate to your neighbor issues - it is awful! Prayers for you.
