Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

would you think less of me because I think granola without chocloate chips is boring and my idea of a cooked breakfast is instant oatmeal microwaved by kids.

Hehe... just last night when we got into bed (I forget what time, but it had to be after 2) I was pondering aloud to my husband how they ever made the first ruler, because how did anyone ever make a straight line to design it from without one existing already? I truly couldn't figure it out. (He said crystals and maybe sedimentary rock have straight lines occuring in nature?)

And I was just thinking about how since my 7yo's Atrium is on Thursdays this year, I really should strive to get in that second bath per week for the boys, or at least the 7yo! Wednesday night is right in the middle of the week, it's perfect. But it's not happening before the first Atrium of the year, which is tomorrow

Would you think less of me if you knew I make the kids eat healthy food, then after they are in bed I have pretzels and cheese and chocolate chips for dinner?

Also- on the other end of the bathing extreme... would you think less of me if you knew I let my kids play in the bath or shower for as long as they want, often twice a day? They will play in the tub with their toob animals for an hour. We call it "hydrotherapy".

Would you think less of me if you knew my kiddos get baths or showers every day (maybe it's a nurse thing?)

and I am alone in the house for the whole day today, which never, ever happens and I can't decide what to do because there are so many choices so I am doing laundry and reading this?

Would you think less of me if you knew that the bunkbed sheets hadn't been washed in..........well, a very, very long time?

Bunkbed sheets
They're the bane of my existence! So difficult to change. Mine don't get washed nearly as often as they should!

This is so very me also

Would you think less of me if you knew that my Ebook is filled with regency romances and just a few bits of "worthwhile" reading. And if any asks to look at it, I change the open book to Charlotte Mason, or Scott Hanh or such.

Okay...I just had to put that in there to be naughty

...so, would you think less of me if I am a "cheeky-monkey?" Or that I probably earned my childhood nickname of "Sassy Sara?"

Of COURSE I don't think less of you...and you..and you...I feel like you all are my best friends at a slumber party now!!!

Would you think less of me if you saw the trail of Snickers wrappers in my Suburban...and purse...or that I haven't swept the carpets in my house for...a.long.time.....I might be able to card, spin and knit the dust bunnies into some new sweater!! Wouldn't that be cool??? (or warm--LOTS of dust bunnies)

It's like an underground movement of once a week bathers! My DH was last night about this thread, happy I had found comrades in dirtiness!

Would you think less of me if I said that we live in such a hot & SWEATY climate that we just really COULDN'T go a day without a bath???

It must be a cold-weather climate thing because my dh said that when he lived in England, they only bathed once a week.. it was such a novel idea to us!

I have to say that it was only the sort of thing I read about in Farmer Boy or something!

Now THAT I can relate to!! I got cross the other night saying to the children, "ALL toys out! This is a bathroom, NOT your personal play room!!"

My dh has lost count of the number of times I've sent him out for a Big Mac when pregnant or newly postpartum. (not that I don't WANT them at other times, but I don't "send him out" to get me food then )

Thank HEAVENS I'm reading this!!! I thought it was only me! In Annuncia's pregancy there were a long stretch in the early trimester of sending dh through each morning for ....hotcakes and a large lattee! ...sometimes right on 6am.. He was throughly embarrassed at the end of that stint!

But maybe all Macca's employees know well the 'pregnant husband' order that goes on day after day, after day....    They have probably been told in work meetings the importance of acting as if they've never seen them before or not to use the word 'again' in any part of their conversation!!

Pregnancies are good for obsessions...I remember also in Annuncia's pregnancy that I wanted to watch (and did!) The Count of Monte Cristo (with Jim Caviezel) everyday for weeks!...Boy that's a hard one to confess to!
