Boy, my last few weeks have been hard. I was in the hospital with the flu last week and now it is taking soooo long to get feeling better. Danny is sick, , Matt is sick, Luke, Kim, and Grace have awful colds---
Mark is a slow learner who seems to be falling farther behind because he just isn't doing "enough"--his poor health is still quite troublesome. The little ones seem to just be running wild--
I am just too tired to do much of anything, so nothing is getting done--clean clothes are always a last minute scramble--meals are always a "free for all"--everything is just a mess---
I am just about ready to climb into my bed and not come out---
"pray, hope, don't worry" Padre Pio told us---I just can't do it right now---please say a pray for all of us!
What an awful crybaby I am---I am just at the end of my rope--sorry.....

You are in prayers. With so many of your sick I think you should definitely crawl into bed and worry about school when you are all feeling better!

Praying for you here. Can you give yourself the gift of taking a day or two of R & R? You sound so exhausted and in need of rest. I will admit that I do "take to my bed" once or twice a year on those really rough days. I tell the children I'm sick and ask them to do the housework, and I rest and read and drink plenty of water. It doesn't fix everything, but it does help restore a little energy. It also gives the children the opportunity to serve me, which is a very good thing once in a while. You are not more important that any member of your family, but you are as important!

Just realized I somehow skipped over the part about YOU being in the hospital! All the more reason to let go of the chaos and try to get rest. Don't feel guilty! You need time to recover and when you are well, you will have the energy to deal with the other issues.

Oh, I wish I could run over with a pot of chicken soup....a BIG pot!!! I am so sorry you were in the hospital, Joann...take this minute by minute...school isn't the priority, you getting better is....I call this kind of time, "TVschooling". Let the littles watch TV while you rest, rest, rest....I am praying for you, dear Joann... YOu are NOT a crybaby, you are a heroic mom!!!

Dear Joann praying for and you offering up my sufferings for you. You are not a cry baby but an amazing Catholic mother of 10! I feel like this a lot and I only have five children and no babies. Keeping you in my prayers!
