thank you, ladies, so much for your prayers and kind, kind words.

i want to explain, that i don't feel abandoned by God, it is more like i go thru periods of not even feeling, logically, that there *is* a God.

and - honestly - i am hesitant to study more. it was through deep study of the Early Church Fathers, and digging deep into history, and then having questions, and then looking at the Roman Catholic Church's answer to those questions, that causes the pull towards the EOC.

but - i do agree - i am mentally and physically very, very tired. this is not the time to make any decisions.

again - thank you all. i can not tell you how much i appreciate your prayers.

Laura,

I understand your sense of the logicality (is that a word?) of whether or not there is a God. I am struggling right now, too.

I really believe it's a spiritual battle.

I think the best recommendation is to rest, rest and take good care of yourself.

And maybe offer your struggles for the person struggling most like you.

When I suggested driving miles for confession and communion, I didn't realize you suffer from agoraphobia. I strongly second Jennifer's (I think) suggestion that you see if a priest can come to your home for confession and communion. What you suffer from is keeping you home-bound like many others who regularly receive the sacraments at home. I hope you can find a faithful priest who will bring the sacraments to you.
