Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Bumping this thread, because I found another source for beeswax candles.

It was reading Jessica at Shower of Roses about her trying to find a monastery source for candles that made me look a bit more.

I missed the sale at Big Dipper Works, so I still haven't purchased from them. I do want to get the ones from Big Dipper Wax Works but the high cost of shipping always keeps me from clicking. But the colors are so rich and perfect.

Jessica bought hers from St. Bernard's Abbey, but she was looking for pillar candles. I use taper candles in my wreath, so I thought I'd look for another option.

Mount Savior Monastery is another Benedictine Monastery in NY (near Corning), founded by Fr. Damasus Winzen. I recognized his name from some of the books I have on my shelf, so I was draw in immediately. Their little gift shop has several choices for sizes in the Beeswax Advent candles.

It was a fast turnaround in ordering, and I'm very pleased. They burn beautifully and fit perfectly. They are 10", not 12", and a bit lighter in color than the others above.

Anyway, I am super duper pleased, especially giving my money to a Catholic monastery.

I just got an email from Mount Savior and they have their candles in stock.
