Maybe I'll have to transplant my pumpkin plants into big pots and bring them inside until they produce sufficiently

You can pretty much use any hard shell winter squash in place of pumpkin.. some are sweeter some less sweet etc. But it's like using a different variety of apples.. it still ends up apple pie

A couple months ago our Target had tons of Libby's canned pumpkin reduced to.90 a can...we stocked up!

i did think that someone might think that, hence the link. hm... although, there *might* be a correlation somewhere.
