We are really groovin' on this Science Lab.

The Weather portion is cool as you can control the tropical and polar air temps and movement as well as the humidity and then see the resulting weather.

The Cells are explained very clearly with great interactive diagrams and even real pictures of carrot and onion cells and skeletal muscle or elodea cells.

Think you know your cells now? Try this Choose Your Own Adventure sort of a quiz.

Science is Awesome!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium offers many things for both kids and teachers including:

The Sea Searchers Handbook a 168 page book (free and fast download)

Animal Fact Cards

Learning Activities

Teaching Units

8 Web Cams

6 Natural History Posters with Activity Ideas

And an Online Field Guide that I cannot get to link properly. Go to the posters and select the online field guide link.

And lots more I'm sure! We used an IRL copy of The Sea Searchers Handbook for a semester's worth of science two years ago and really enjoyed the format and info. With the additional information available online this becomes an amazing Nature Freebie!

Does anyone know of other Aquariums/Zoos/Museums that offer extensive online goodies?

They have tons of resources similar to what you found at Monterey Bay site. We've used alot of them here.
