One more UPDATE:
Armondo went to be with Jesus in the wee hours of the night around midnight. Please pray for Nicole this morning, she is probably going home to tell her children as we are up and getting breakfast ready. 
There are no words, just praying and weeping with Nicole. And prayers for God to comfort her in ways that only He can.

If any of you know Nurse Nicole on the FIAR boards, this is her youngest, Armondo who is 2.5 yrs.
Nicole, from the FIAR boards ~ her son, Armondo is 2yrs and has a severe brain injury just today (or yesterday?) and the doctors are not giving her much hope.
UPDATE on Armondo: Armani was hit by a car at about 4pm ET today. Apparently no one witnessed it or has admitted to it. He was just next door. One of those you blink and they're out the door moments. He was stat flighted to the Children's hospital in Syracuse. His coma scale upon arrival was a 4, which is bad...it basically means he's in a coma. He has a head injury, with bleeding on the brain. He also has one blocked carotid artery, and she said something about the other carotid but I did not understand what she said and didn't have the heart to ask her to repeat. They are still saying they don't expect him to survive this. Serena (big sister) is taking everything especially hard. I know Nicole would appreciate special prayer for her.
We are praying for a MIRACLE!! Lord Jesus, have MERCY.
UPDATE #2
Armondo still lives. Marcy said it is pretty much as bad as it can be and for him to still be alive - that the doctor had never seen a cat scan and as bad as Armondo's is.
Multiple skull fractures. Bleeding on the brain. Surgery is not an option right now.
Please pray for the bleeding to stop, for his brain pressure to be ok, for his cerebral peripherals (I think that's what marcy called them) to be ok. She said his vitals were good but the cerebral peripherals, not so much.
Really, God needs to perform a miracle.
Please pray for Nicole to get the sustenance she needs - eating for instance.
The person who hit Armondo was the neighbor. A 22yo college boy. He didn't know he'd done it.
His intracranial pressure (ICP) is too high, please pray it comes down.
His cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP) is too low, please pray it goes up.
ICP is caused from the bleeding into the brain, putting pressure on the brain tissue (which will then impede blood flow to the brain). 0-10 is normal, they'd be happy if his was 20 (the very upper limit), his was around 35 when we talked.
CPP has to do with how the blood (and thus oxygen) perfuses his brain. There needs to be enough pressure to keep the blood flowing. This needs to be at least 75, it was down in the 60s when we talked.
His vital signs were stable. Of course he's on a ventilator with multiple lines for IV access and measurements. And he is being medically sedated. He has multiple skull fractures, but no other injuries to other parts of his body. He is no where near stable enough for surgery to stop the bleeding in his brain. This is such a critical situation, they are literally taking things hour-by-hour and the Dr. has spoken the words, "pray for a miracle." If only he knew what he was saying!!
UPDATE #3
My heart is heavy. I just hung up with Nicole. The doctors have now asked them to make a decision about taking Armondo off life support. There's nothing they can do.
Nicole says she will not make that decision. God will have to take care of that.
She and Rick are taking turns holding him.
His ICP and CPP were much worse while we were talking.
PLEASE PRAY!!
UPDATE #4
Our friend Marcy just got off the phone with Nicole, here is her message:
Armondo is actively dying, in her arms.
His vital signs, ICP, everything are just horrible. I won't repeat all the stats, just trust me, it's bad.
She kicked everyone out of the room, even Rick and is sitting there alone loving on her baby for as long as she can.
It's so heartbreaking. They are saying he will not make it through the night.
Then the other terrible news is that someone called CPS. So she's had a visit from them today. And her children had a visit from the police. So now, not only is she holding her dying baby, she fears her other children will be removed from her for allegations of neglect. She feels fingers are being pointed her way for Armondo's accident. Now, I don't think she knows any of this to be fact. It occurred to me that perhaps in cases like this, CPS has to respond and investigate to make sure things are ok. Let's hope that's the case.
UPDATE #5 ON THE MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 4...
Armondo is with JESUS now.........please continue to pray for the family.....

Candace, thank you for posting this here.
I can't stop crying long enough to get the words out.
Nicole & I held each other up long distance during our pregnancies--her w/ Armani and mine w/ Luke--as we both waged war w/ HG. She is so precious to me, and this baby was so hard-fought for.
Please ask everyone you know to pray for Nicole & her precious family.
