Oh Marilyn my heart pulls at reading this thread and the updates, I know what it is like to be at home nursing someone in their final days, so heartbreaking for your dear friends! I'm praying for them and for you too Marilyn, so hard when you just can't be where you would like to...

I always feel so in awe witnessing suffering of this magnitude lived out in love. It is a deep privilege to witness, and an even deeper and more mysterious privilege to assist a soul from this life to their eternal home through prayer.
I am remembering Christopher in prayer, and I am also offering many prayers for Joan. What heartache for her! May Our Lady, whose strength at the Foot of the Cross was other worldly, sustain Joan in this hour.
Most Adorable and Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy!

Christopher passed into eternal life early on Sunday morning. Joan was with him - as she had been constantly for the last few months.
Thank you all for your prayers - please remember Joan as she has to face the next few days and weeks alone.

I will continue my prayers, Marilyn, for the repose of Christopher's soul and for Joan who must be in such heartbreaking pain. May God's tender comfort be felt by all who miss him.
for you and prayers for you as well. It is so difficult to be so geographically removed from a friend who is suffering when we long to be of practical help and to wrap our arms around them when no words can measure up.
