Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can I do one? I was just about getting around to starting this up again when I came on this thread. I MISS blog carnivals so much.

I wouldn't do a good job at the imagination one. Would there be any room for me to through in a carnival on making lovely spaces? I know its probably been done in the past but I think moms have fun showing some little nook or even an entire room they cleared, decorated, and are proud of showing. I like looking at real homeschooling Mom's homes more than a magazine that is not real. What do you think?

Are we just doing one a month? Is 2 a month too much? Its not for me but maybe I'm too over eager!! I am so glad we are back at this.

When is the deadline of the first one in September??

you know, if someone wants to host a second one in a month, i can't see where that would really be a problem, would it? for most of the people participating, it is just submitting the blog post. The hostess is the one pulling it together. so, in my opinion, it really would be okay.

i would think it MAY be harder in teh first few months, simpy because people are busy and the holidays , etc. But from January on, i can't see where it would be all that hard.

Just like....if someone *really* wanted to do an extra one, say in October for Halloween, wouldn't that be okay?

but - what does the majority think?

Well it does take time to write up a post if you weren't doing it anyway.. so too many and you'll start losing your contributors..

But we could probably squish it in the end of Jan beginning of Feb.

That puts it between Evenings at Home and Easter.. which could overlap with both of those some anyway.

And I could hold off on posting Easter until the 2nd week of Feb (the 8th).. if you posted during the 3rd week of Jan. (week of the 25th) For instance.

hhhmmmm....good wisdom, here, too.

maybe just in Jan and Feb then - since that seems to be the time of year we are all often home more, after the holidays, things are slowing down, we're *trying* to get back into the school groove (or is that just me? )and fight burnout, and having a little extra loveliness then might be just the ticket?

Sorry I haven't responded. I will definately do picture books. i though it was decided until I saw the ?

I also think imagination is a great one and I think Imagaination and Inspiration for Lovely Places can work together.
In fact I think they are very connected
I don't mind doing two if you need another person.

Let's salvage the September blog fair and DO IT!

Loveliness of Autumn (or spring for the Australians)

Check it out and we will wait to hear if Paula still wants to host it. I will host it if she isn't up to it. Either way. . .Let's go for it!

Should I start posting on the November theme and post it on my blog.
Or do I send it to the monthly organiser?
How do I actually go about being a part of this?
I have never done one before, I don't want to miss this one like I did last Month.
God Bless

I'm going to comment just to bump this up. I just recently stumbled across the Lives of Loveliness Carnivals again and was able to submit a contribution to it. But it would really be great if there was one place to check on this. For example who is hosting next month and what it the theme?

Aw, Elena, I think that Gae hosted the last one and had a few different posts about it, but it is the only one you may have "missed" since we've had some people just not be able to do it. I sort of wonder if people should just do it as they feel inspired instead of a schedule, but either way, you are right, it would be easier if this thread were bumped each time and people could just subscribe to it! It might reach more people!

I'm finally back online again and I'm hosting the May Carnival with a marian theme..I'll be hosting it on my blog on the 31st May feast of the Visitation,(that will be the Eve of the feast for the ladies in the northern hemisphere) I hope you can all come 'visit' then to see!

This allows ladies to host their May crownings, or any other marian activity during May and have it as part of the Carnival at the end of May.

Once May begins I'm going to start a thread here just for my month, to act as a clear reminder for it.

Ok, back again!!!

Does anyone have any submissions for the Marian Carnival? Please send it through to me but if you are emailing from my blog, do not do that at present, my computer is down and I cannot access those particular emails at present, could you please pm me instead?

Do you have something special to share that is Marian that you have already posted at your blog in the last year or a post you are doing up especially for the Carnival at present? If you do not blog, please pm me your Marian story, you can even send me a photo if you wish (if you pm me I can give you my private email to send photos to.)

We have such a perfect and all loving mother who LOVES us and May is just the best month to share this love we have for her as well, so don't forget to be a part of this carnival!

I'll probably have something to share later this week or next and I'll send it to you. Thanks for hosting.

So sorry Annie. I know that was disappointing. I meant all weekend to throw a post together about the wall of Mary images I put together, but I didn't have much to say about it, and time got away from me, so its just the picture at the end of my daybook. I think this is just a busy time of year for everyone. Plus, I never know exactly how the daybook thing is supposed to work exactly, even after participating in a couple. How far ahead do I post, etc...

Well if the truth be known, I did have a gallbladder attack the weekend before and it would have been a strain for me to put submissions together, and I know for others things crop up to put plans aside... so it just wasn't meant to be...maybe if there is any spare months with no announced topic, this might be a good one later in the year?

I apologize too Annie. I totally meant to get something together and I just didn't. I've had a back injury that has been preoccupying me.

I actually have some ideas about hosting the Lives of Loveliness, much like the Sunday Snippets is hosted. It's on one blog, it's done via Mr. Linky and it is every week. It makes it much, much easier to plan around and expect. We could even create a blog on blogger, just to host this carnival. It's a thought.
