Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes, Lindsay, for each one there will be a post asking for submissions with a deadline.. and then the hostess makes a post about the carnival with links to all the blog entries submitted.. or I think they also add in other posts of people without blogs so you don't have to have a blog to join in. I got a blog just for this purpose.. there's one lone entry on it from last year about this time for Harvest. But the point is that you can have a blog just for these without having to blog per say.

just throwing this out there before i go to bed. the different forums themselves can be used as springboard for a "topic" -- e.g., for Real Learning we could have posts that talk about how RL/CM is applied in our home, or the evolution of our own homeschooling philosophies.... year of the Priest would be perfect for Domestic Church as will the Marian theme and the All Saints theme, for Mothering we could devote posts to motherhood, our moms, or raising teens, we could have a topic of "Natural Remedies" for herbal advice or experiences.... anyway, what I'm saying is we shouldn't run out of topics, there's so much right here on this forum that we could dig into more via the carnivals... not to get ahead of ourselves here but it certainly won't hurt to have more topics than we need for the next twelve months -- just in case we want to do this again for the following twelve

Well I had thought about the herbs/natural remedies etc, but I didn't know if it were that wide ranging for all, but I DID think of...kitchen...that's where all my herbs are prepared and used..

The Loveliness of Kitchens? It incorporates cooking, mum's with preparing their natural remedies, kitchen layout and design etc..

What about the lovliness of health? that would incorporate herbs and natural rememdies as well as healthy eating (umm I don't think that would be cookies Laura ) and exercise and such.. and might enlarge the interest enough.

Oh yes Jodie, that sounds very good!

Here are seven (I think?) widgets I've designed, you can view them at my old Schooling Blog I've uploaded them in a post as well as the sidebar, sidebar is important because that is the size it will be viewed..maybe I should set up a poll on these 7 widgets?

I would be happy to do any of these topics.
Mothering
Picture books
Crafts in the Home (or something crafty)
Family tradtions
Advent or Christams?

I could do more than one BUT would appreciate it if I wasn't first or second so I had some idea as to what goes on.

I would also be open to doing more than one. It is so hard to choose. So some help in deciding what people would prefer would be appreciated.

So if these topics are not interesting to others I am open to others as I wuold love to be a hostess for one.

What do you think about these topics?

The Loveliness of Mealtime
The Loveliness of Family Evenings at Home

or maybe one related to wintering-- like hunkering down at home, boredom busters, etc....

I think January would be my preference, if no one else has claimed it yet?

I don't mind doing September or October....I was thinking along the lines of beginning the school year traditions. But any topic is FINE.
