Hi all,

I would be so grateful for your prayers for my induction tonight. This is baby number 4, a little girl, and we are so excited to welcome her! My doctor has recommended an induction and, while it's different from the way we've generally approached birth, I feel peaceful and very ready to have this baby.

As with every birth, I have a healthy concern about the baby's well-being, the pain of labor and delivery, and possible complications. I have felt the Holy Spirit's prompting all along that things would be different this time around: I've been on bed rest after three pretty easy, uneventful pregnancies; now an induction after natural births... just wondering if anything else unexpected will happen. But still I feel peace.

Thank you all for your prayers! We welcomed our little girl on Thursday evening. She's perfect!

The induction went very slowly... until the last hour when I dilated from 4 to 10! Just a few pushes.

Thanks be to God! We are overjoyed!
