Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Books,
I am 5'10" but I am mostly legs. I am shorter than my 5'2" SIL when we sit down for example! They used to call me "Grasshopper" in school. So, all legs, short torso.

I know what you mean. PM me for details, k?

Cactus Mouse,

That skirt looks perfect! (All American Comfort Sport Knit Skirt.) That was exactly what I had in mind, even down to the little white leather shoes and bobby-socks. I used to wear those shoes all the time but can't find them anymore either. (The cotton ones just don't last.) I think I will order one now and see if it works, and then more for the post-partum time if they do. Thanks for the link. (Still have to check out the others links too.)

Too funny, Marcia. Just read your post. Yes, habits, in cotton knit of course, would be perfect!

Okay, ladies, this conversation has me wanting to do my fall wardrobe shopping...I just filled up an online shopping bag with a fall wish list, looked at the total just to see, then then laughed out loud and clicked off. Time for a Good Will trip!

Sweetie, it works and it's fun! I pray my way into the Thrift store and it's amazing what I find there. I bring one of my 15yo dds with me(the other stays at home and babysits ) They have brought me things and said "this looks like you, Mom!" I bring them so we can dive through the racks efficiently...so we don't miss any treasure I just ask the Blessed Mother to dress me! I have even been known to get a really large sized skirt or dress so that I can cut it up and make clothing for the littler girls...sometimes the material is brand new!

I know Nissa (from Simple Gifts) has inspired me here! I have even gotten wool blankets and sweaters to felt for crafts...really cheap! I feel like I am being a "wise steward" and still have a few dollars to have fun with!

HTH!
