Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just received this update a few minutes ago from a friend of mine who is a member of the family's parish :

This is a combination of info from all the sources I have:

Please pray for the Steve and Sue Dillier family of ****.

If you are willing to walk, bike ride, drive the
streets looking for Luke today, a search party is meeting at the area of Luke's abduction. Please call ***** at *******
and she will direct you to help. Please only use this phone number to
find out where to meet and what areas need to be searched! We all
know everyone is praying, so Grace asks that you keep the phone line
open for workers in the area. Thank you.

Search headquarters: *******. Searchers can come here for water, food,
a/c, etc. Bicycle available for searcher to use.

Luke went to his violin lesson on Friday July 24, 2009 around 9 AM.
He had forgotten something in his van and left the instructor's house
to go out and retrieve it. He never returned. When he was questioned,
a neighbor of the violin instructor recalled hearing a scream at
about the same time Luke was outside the house.

The suspected foul play is under investigation by local police. His
father Steve is trying to get home from out of state and his older
brother is out at sea with the Coast Guard.

Luke is 15 years old, about 6 ft. 4"; and 190 pounds.

Please share this and pray for his return to his family…safe,
healthy, and unharmed physically, mentally, or spiritually.

There are several theories circulating. He is currently listed as a
"missing child' which covers abduction and runaway status.

Police and family believe he might have been abducted. They had
search dogs and a helicopter out looking for him but to my knowledge
currently have no leads.

If anyone has any info about his whereabouts, knows of any suspicious
activity in the area, or has any other information, please
immediately call the police and relay the info and please keep Luke
and his family in your prayers.

St. William, Patron Saint of kidnapped children, Pray for Luke!

Another update I just received, please continue to pray, thanks!:

I just talked to his relatives and got some updates.

They don't know how it got there, but the part about the neighbor
hearing a scream is not true.

They search is growing bigger and any help is still appreciated.
They're passing out fliers with his picture and ask people to print
off his picture and pass it out at their local gas stations in the
hopes of someone identifying him. His mother said he's 6'2" (not 6'4"
as previously reported).

The investigation was originally done in Dallas PD because that is
where it occurred but is now listed as a possible runaway and
therefore is being done by his local Irving PD. They don't have proof
of foul play. They don't have proof of anything! They simply have no
idea at all what happened once he walked out the teacher's door. The
police dogs were only able to follow his trail for a very short bit
and they believe he got into a car at that point, but don't know if he
did so willingly.

He was wearing a dark striped polo shirt with brown slacks and tennis
shoes and had on a beaded bracelet. He also has braces.

Statistically, the chances of a missing child (runaway or abducted)
safely returning home drop considerably after 48 hours, which is
tomorrow morning, so the family is asking for whatever support you can
give tonight.

I was at a conference all day today so thanks for updating, Jennifer! My husband is on his way to join the search effort. I can't even tell you how much my heart is grieving right now. We are trying to get as much news attention as we can: TV, radio, newspapers. Any help is appreciated.

Please also pray for his brother Joe who is in the Coast Guard Academy and was in the middle of the Caribbean when her heard the news. He is trying to get here as fast as he can.

We remember him as a tall, sweet, soft spoken young man. My kids called him "George" when they were little even though we told them his name was Luke. They were 2,3,and 4 then and just enamored with this big tall boy! He never minded that they always got his name wrong. He would just sweetly smile and chuckle. Please, dear Lord, return him to his family safe and sound!

Unfortunately, his situation does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert. There is a Facebook page. Two radio stations have made announcements and one TV station but we are trying to get the newspapers to print his picture.

You can follow this on Facebook. The local media is doing an angle on this story about the social networking sites linking up to help this boy and his family. Do a FB search for "Luke Dillier."

Lord, be with this family. Its all in your hands.

My husband just returned from the search efforts and spoke with Luke's aunt. The police have determined that there is no physical evidence right now to indicate an abduction but they do believe there is evidence that he could have run away. If that is the case, it is possible that he could be trying to make his way to other parts of the country. He has grandparents in Arkansas so they are trying to get his picture posted even out there. (Anyone here in Arkansas?)

We will know tomorrow if they are forming more search parties. It doesn't sound like it right now. They are concentrating on all kinds of media attention in the hopes that someone will recognize him.

No new news on Luke's whereabouts. We do know now that the police dogs did not loose his scent as was previously reported and that an eye witness saw him walking down the street alone. In fact, the dogs tracked him for about a mile before they got dehydrated and had to be pulled in. The police are speculating that he got into a car or hopped on a bus. Nobody knows to where. The family is trying to get his picture in front of as many people as possible in all parts of the country. Would you please consider posting his picture with a link to the Facebook page in your side bar if you have a blog?

You can find his picture here.

Whether or not he left on his own or with help, the streets of Dallas are no place for a child of 15 to be wandering around in even if he is as big as a grown man. Please keep praying that he will know he is loved and missed and will choose to come home or that he will be found and returned to his family safe and sound.

Thanks for the updates Charlotte and Jennifer. I think it's been hard on the whole Catholic hs'ing community, but especially on those close to the situation. It's got to be emotionally exhausting.

Continuing to pray. Have mercy.
