Hi, Mary and all -- Reporting back

My husband and two oldest put these together and are anxiously awaiting a clear night to try them out (its been uncharacteristically rainy this July)

My husband tells me the telescopes look to be of good quality - for the ~$15 price. The instructions, however, left much to be desired. They were nearly impossible to follow. Best to leave assembly to the grownups.

Also there is no knob for focus adjustments - the telescope - well it _telescopes_ in and out for focusing. We'll see how that goes when we finally get a chance to try them out at night.

I've never owned another telescope - so I don't have much to compare these with - but our main objective was to have something that we could take camping with us for stargazing and I'm hopeful that these will fit that bill perfectly.

Recently on the Catholic Answers Radio Show, they interviewed Br. Consolmagno in a topic named "The Christian Roots of Science". They discussed his books and the Vatican Observatory. It was quite interesting.
