Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

My dc will go WILD over this. Thanks so much for the link!

Of course, they will want all the stuffed birds to go with them...

Oh, I am not fond of stuffed animals. AT ALL. I always use the allergy excuse to keep them at a minimum. Dust collectors, we're allergic to dust mites, etc. etc.

Adding that we have been reading the bird book at lunch since November.
The small print was made to turn Mommy into a Cuckoo.

But, for me, the birds are all starting to run together, so these visuals will help so much. I wish I had the originals with the colored plate. Those must be very nice.

Of course, I do have most of the birds live outside on the window feeder... I think that eliminates the need for stuffed ones quite effectively.

It is nice. I found it at a used bookstore, but it wasn't "cheap" but the Animal Book was more. I wish I'd sprung for it now that I know how much my kids love the Bird Book!

Erin, thanks for the Librivox link. I've downloaded lost of stuff from there. My youngest has just turned 7 and was much too young when I read the Bird Book and Animal Book for my older two (now 8 and 11) so it is time again!

Suzanne, that blog link is wonderful, too! Both these resources will invigorate our Burgess studies.
