Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have just begun my copy of Fr. Pinto's Psalm Reflections ! It came in the mail from my DJM servant cooridinator on monday . This book is no longer in print but can be ordeed from the DJM site in cd form or dvd form .I feel very blessed to have a printed copy .
I had finished up my formation last summer and have been pateintly waiting for which step to take next. The group cooridinator said maybe I could start over with the first in the trilogy of books but when she wrote Fr. Pinto he suggested this book for me .Wow does he know people ! I began today and the reflection on ps146 ( I've deceide to read the reflection with the daily psalm reading . ) well the reflection was wonderful much much focus on the soul . Wandering attachments , distractions etc.
I know I'm just going to soak up this book . I can reccomend it for those who love the psalms beautiful prayers that they are

I'm reading 'A Woman After God's Own Heart' by Elisabeth George. A Christian author who is really speaking to my heart about Mothering, being a much better Wife, Making a Home, Gentleness etc. I'm really being ministered and stretched by this book, in fact I'm thinking of sharing a series of thoughts on my blog. I NEEDED to read this book.

Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence by Father Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure and St. Claude de la Colombiere.

The link is access to an on-line version, although it is so inexpensive and small that I would highly recommend buying a copy if you don't have one already.

Stephanie, I have read that book many times. Normally right before delivery when I start getting anxious about something happening to me.

A friend and I loaded our children up and went to the monastery on Friday for the Feast of the Sacred Heart. I picked up a book about St Maximilian Kolbe. My little guy is Maximilian so I enjoy reading all I can about his patron. This is a really good book so far.
