Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I can't add much to the advice already given, but I remember when my daughter was about six or seven and she asked a good frined of mine, who is very active in pro-life, about abortion. My friend gave her such a beautiful , age-apporpriate respnse, but it still brought me to tears to think that my little one had to even know such a thing exists!
I guess I would say, as with talking about any sensitive topic with my children... find out what knowledge they already have (or think they have) and keep the informaiton appropriate to their age and maturity level. Also, I am always careful to remind my children that there are some topics that children need to talk only to Moms and Dads about and are not meant for playground talk.
I hope this thread has helped, there is lots of good advice here!

I have a friend that is very active in the ProLife movement and very blunt with her kids about the evil of abortion. Her children march with the graphic signs every Saturday at the clinic. Personally, I can't do that. The pictures scar my soul, I wouldn't willingly show them to my younger children.

My 10 year old dd knows that women who allow this have been mislead by the drs at the clinic and things society believes, and are ignorant to the truth that they are allowing their babies to be killed. We pray that the scales will be lifed from their eyes.

My teenage sons are active in the Prolife ministry. They picket at local public high schools that include abortion in their "health" curriculum. My 14 year old son was 10 weeks preemie, and knows that the drs encouraged me to "evacuate my uterus" at 19 weeks as the "fetus was non-viable" . We sent those "specialists" a beautiful card on his first birthday! Because of this, Dennis is very passionate about the Prolife movement.
