I am praying that Aidan stays out of the hospital and makes a speedy recovery, or that if he has to go to hospital, that it is not too hard on him.

Haven't said so yet but have been praying for Aiden and thought you'd like to know he's still in our thoughts.
Hope he's feeling better.

Aidan has really been on mind and prayers, so I'm taking this from another thread where Willa said:

Thanks so much for the prayers. Thank you Jennifer for moving my update!
We went in on New Years morning and they put him on antibiotics and admitted him, but everything went really smoothly and his stay there was one of the most pleasant ever from his perspective Only one needle poke the whole time; they were able to start an IV and get blood both at the same time, which is close to a miracle for him.
He was so brave and cheerful and polite to the health care workers. It was neat to see how much he's grown up since his last hospital stay. Homeschool socialization! We offered it up for those of you who can use prayers during this time.

Aidan had a partial seizure today. He has been seizure-free for over two years so it was a bit concerning. I talked to the pharmacist and the doctor and the doctor took him off the oral antibiotic he is on, since triggering seizure activity is a rare side effect.
He seems to be recovered from the seizure. But I would be grateful for a bit of prayer cover for him; the doctor didn't ever think his pneumonia was bacterial (the antibiotic was mostly a precaution) but he is immune-suppressed, so diseases are potentially serious for him. The old balancing act about deciding what is LEAST medically harmful in the situation -- it can be tricky, for Aidan!
Also, I am having a bit of trouble getting my emotional balance. My oldest is going back to college in two days, and the last half of his vacation was overshadowed by us all being sick and Aidan's stay at the hospital in isolation. So I REALLY feel wrenched by thinking about the leavetaking from my oldest, so SOON! And his dad and siblings are feeling the same way.
This is all a bit minor on the scale of things, I know. But the prayers make a huge difference to me.

Willa, I read somewhere that the first time back after Christmas break is even more painful than the original leavetaking. Add to that being rundown because of the illnesses thrown your way and you have every reason to feel fragile. You're all in my prayers--today and always.

Bringing on the prayer cover for Aidan, praying he's better soon.
Praying Our Lady surrounds you with her mantle, especially as your oldest leaves. She certainly understood leavetakings...
