Theresa I had wondered in the last few days when I saw your lovely new blog with the title, "Seeking Old Paths" I just wondered...
I will remember you and your journey in prayer! Can I ask, do you remember who your confirmation saint is? I'd love to pray to her in particular for you. Of course I'll be praying to St Theresa...well you have a few there, St Therese of the Little Flower, the Spainish Carmelite, St Theresa of Avila (my confirmation saint) and the wonderful saint of our times, Mother Teresa!! They're all great patrons!
I'm reading a great, thick book on the life of St Teresa of Avila, it is written by a fabulous author, William Thomas Walsh. St Teresa was born during the reformation and was known as one of the most charismatic of the Church's counter-reformation saints.
I'll share this beautiful quote of St Theresa of Avila with you:
Nada te turbe,
nada te espante;
todo se pasa,
Dios no se muda.
La pacientia todo lo alcanza.
Quien a Dios tiene nada la falta:
solo Dios basta.
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

If I remember correctly it was Blessed Rose. My full name is Theresa Marie and I chose Rose as my confirmation name after my grandmother Regina Rose. My mother said that I was named after Therese the Little Flower.

Wow! Theresa, praying! I am a REVERT and may I recommend the book Rome Sweet Rome by Scott Hahn if somebody else has not suggested it? Please feel free to pm me. I was away from the Catholic church for four years...I was fortunate to have a lovely friend who was trying to "convert" her Catholic friend to the protestant church only to convert to Catholicsm HERSELF!!! Also, another book I would love to recommend is Catholism and Fundamentalism by Keating.
