James went for his sweat test today and the results were negative. We are grateful to have something to cross off the list of possibilities. We are expecting some more test results in over the course of the week. I hope we'll get to the bottom of things soon.

Because we are so "homeschool-y", the test was approached as a science project. The kids enjoyed learning about the electrodes and what they did, as well as the little collectors and the blue tattoos they left.

Thanks again for the prayers. I hope you'll continue to pray with us while we try to figure out what's up with James.

It was a pretty rough day for us when our daughter "failed" the sweat test. I'm very glad for you Nissa.

It will be easy to remember James in prayer. I'll offer a thanksgiving that the test was negative and pray that you'll discover what is ailing him.

Second round of tests are back. One of his levels is elevated, but we are waiting for the ped. to ring back tomorrow to explain what that might mean.

He's doing better with his neb, still noisy in the mornings and sometimes before bed. He's still unable to move his little bowels without help. Hopefully we'll soon understand what is going on so that we can help him better.

I believe firmly that it is this house which is contributing to his asthma. My older two had no problems after we left our first house in England, then started again when we moved here to this house. Sophie has never lived anywhere else, so I can't say. I can say that I have had more asthmatic episodes here than anywhere else I've lived since childhood.

I suspect that some of James' troubles are related to my own diet (he is exclusively breastfed), which has been somewhat neglected since his birth. I have been minding everything I eat more closely over the last week or two and hoping it improves how we both feel.

Thanks so much for the continued prayers. I've never been this calm. Usually I'm freaking out over kids' health stuff when it comes up.

As a total aside...I thought you were moving to a lovely farm? Did you? Is that the house you feel might be causing some asthma related problems...or are you still waiting to get into that house and we can focus some prayers there. I'm sorry if I'm terribly out of the loop.
