Anna is home from the hospital but not improved :-(
Last night she had a seizure about every 2 hours.
They are sort of playing a waiting game as they slowly up the dose of anti-seizure medicine. Then, in about 1-2 weeks, it might not even work. I believe they try another medicine if that is the case. They do have an appointment at Johns Hopkins in about a month but are understandably worried about her brain and development.
Thank you again for the prayers. I know it is covering the parents as they deal with this.

Oh how scary! Praying...

For my son with epilepsy the medications made his seizures worse and more frequent. He's on a low carb diet that controls them and is off all meds. Maybe the baby's doctors can consider a ketogenic diet or Modified Atkins diet. I've heard that for babies that can be fed with a bottle it should be easy to manage.

I've been praying since I first saw this but haven't posted. Just wanted to echo Dawn's thoughts. If diet changes haven't been attempted yet, maybe it's time to give the ketogenic diet a try?
