Elizabeth and all...thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and encouragement! We are all settling into our new routine together and are happy to report that all is going better than expected.
M. is 4yo and all girl. She has shoulder length wavy blond hair with thick bangs, green eyes, and fair complexion. She is strong, silly, and affectionate. She loves pink, can sing her own songs, likes shopping, and talks of princesses and castles.
S. is 3yo and all boy. He has a crew cut, light brown/blond, blue/green eyes, and fair complexion. He is super strong, belly laughs, and affectionate. He just told me that "Superman doesn't dance, only princesses dance." I agreed:). He likes super heroes, throwing anything, being outside, and building stuff.
They are very happy in our home. They came with very little in way of material goods or information. We have been shopping for basics and both children have been very grateful. We'll find out more about their story within the next few days. V., our case worker, has been great but we already have received conflicting information and other errrors have happened. Hopefully V. can help straighten things out.
I'm mostly needing stamina  . All is moving at a fast clip so please pray for my peace and energy conservation  . Our children are adjusting well, learning how to serve, and seeing the outside world in a way that is intimate and hard. Their main question is, "How could their family not take care of them?" and the older ones, "How can people hurt them?" Our only answer to these questions is to focus on loving them today.
M. and S. are very active and have little discipline. They are very responsive to our love and limits. They are on a reunification plan with their mother for this summer. Please pray for all of us as we adjust to our new family make up and pray especially for these little ones, they so need the ongoing support of prayer and love of the body of Christ!
Oh...I'll be away from the boards for at least two weeks, my best estimation. I'll be praying mightily for all of your intentions!
