Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ugh my typing. That is 2 Saanens. We make cheese, ice-cream, yogurt. I am dying to make soap. We also freeze a lot for winter use. I sure do not miss living in town. We have been out in Elk for 6yrs.

Well, I'm inspired. We only have 2.5 acres, but have big plans for it! We've got chicks in the brooder right now, a bunny (pet, not for meat) in a cage, a dog, two kitties in 6 weeks, broiler chicks in a month or so. Some day I want a little pond in the front with some ducks, and we are hoping for the Saanens by next spring. DH is putting in a garden this year too. We planted fruit trees last summer...got them distressed and I'm amazed they actually are greening up this year! I do not even remotely have a green thumb so I consider it somewhat of a miracle that they are still alive.

You have to let me know if you make soap successfully. I'm thinking about buying some milk off my friend to try it one day this summer...
