Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We LOVE TT, as well, after switching from Saxon. My son used Algebra I last year, and is using Algebra II this year, and is doing GREAT (unlike Saxon, where he was starting to slide into C's and D's because the material wasn't adequately explained. The DIVE CDs weren't that much help... especially compared with TT.)

HOWEVER- my daughter started on TT 7 this year, and the program keeps crashing. We have a Mac, but we set up a separate Windows application to run the program. It keeps jiggling, losing sound, etc. Anyone else have this problem using the TT on a Mac? (The Algebra I TT set didn't have a problem, I believe it was Mac-Compatible.)

My husband is a tech director for a large school district that uses mostly Macs (but some PCs) and he can't seem to solve this problem, either.... though not thru lack of expertise!

Macmom,
We were having that problem too. We had to add memory to the virtual machine and then increased the processors to two. If you want to PM me, my husband can answer any questions you might have.

I wish I could help with the Mac but I bought a {gasp} PC a few years ago that isn't hooked up to the internet for the kids to use PC only software and especially TT now days. Grace uses TT7 now and did TT last year, as well.

I'm a die-hard Mac user but I I just didn't want to muddy up the system with the Virtual PC stuff. I'm sure it's probably fine but I just couldn't make that mental jump...

My 10th grader is using Geometry this year. She is loving it. She came home this year so she was used to lectures in school. She likes seeing the explanations.
She definately needs to see it.

And, with three little ones who are doing school as well, TT has been a life saver. I don't know how I would have fit in teaching math to her.

I do have one who will be in the fourth grade in the Fall. If I invest in the program, the advantage is that I have four kids who will be able to use the program.
