We were in the process of buying a house and 10 days before closing, our loan fell through.  We are doing a VA loan, my dh is retiring from the Air Force on October 1st and the VA requires proof of employment one year from the closing of the loan. We don't have that proof yet so they won't finance our loan. Our loan officer didn't even know this VA rule.
The purchase of the house cannot happen now and the homeowner is holding our earnest money. We honestly did not know this would happen or we would never have even tried to buy a house right now. I'm so upset about this I'm not sleeping well and just feel plain sick.
Would you please pray for them to understand we had no idea this would happen and refund our money? Thanks so much.

Thanks, everyone. Please keep praying as now the listing agent for the homeowner has "threatened" taking this to court! He has no legal stand at all but still the threat is extremely upsetting.  The current housing situation in our country has sure messed up a lot of things for people and I know is part of what's driving this to the extreme it is currently. Makes me never want to buy a house again!

Continuing prayers. We've had a very similar situation...threats with no legal grounds, but how they shake one up!!! May you, dh, and family find peace in the midst of this storm!
