Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dear Ruth,
I am praying mightily for your dear mil. We will pray our Rosary tonight for her intentions, for comfort, peace and good care.
Much love!

My MIL will be having surgery this morning to remove the tumor and will find out if it has spread. She should be home tonight, as long as they don't have to do a mastectomy.

Thanks for your continued prayers for her and our family. My dear husband was undesrtandibly stressed this morning. I know things will be pretty tough around here in the next few weeks. We were not able to find transportation for her radiation treatments, so I will be taking her every day for the next 7 weeks.

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we settle into a new routine.

May you all have a blessed and fruitful Octave of Easter. You always remain in my daily prayers.

I will pray that you settle in well to your new routine, it sounds very demanding but I'm sure this will be an enormous blessing to MIL. God Bless you for your love and generosity.

Oh, Ruth...I'm praying this morning for the surgery to be a success and that the mastectomy is not necessary!

I pray as well for your family. I know it will be difficult and a sacrifice of time to take your mil for her treatments, but Our Lord must be so overjoyed with your desire to serve and offer this work of mercy. I'm praying that the Holy Family will offer your family every guidance and example during this time, and that you will be filled with peace and fortitude for the work that is ahead of you.

to you!

They found cancer in one of her lymph nodes and removed a few more for more testing. If the cancer has spread further than that one lymph node, she will have to have chemo instead of radiation, although her health and age would make it very dangerous. We will know more by Friday. Thanks again.
