I am going to pipe in about the hard back vs. paperback.
I am thinking that I am going to start replacing my set from the 70s (thank you Scholastic).

I think I might splurge and go the hardback route. My youngest four are really hard on books. I keep telling them that they need to respect books. HA. I fail in that area. They seem to be more respectful of hardbacks.
