Matt has AML. We find out sometime this week the results of the chromosome studies from his biopsy. This will give us some idea of prognosis and the next step. This Friday he has a repeat bone marrow biopsy to determine if the chemo worked. These results will also play into the next step. Please everyone keep praying. We have chicken pox in the house and I've developed a cold so I'm not able to be with him right now. My heart is heavy. I know everything happens for a reason and perhaps I'm supposed to be home with my children instead of at the hospital with him. Knowing that doesn't make it easier. Thankyou everyone for your kind words and prayers. They are making this cross more bearable...like when Simon helped Jesus.

You have my prayers. Know that when it feels like you just can't pray or bear it anymore, the prayers of this board and the prayers of your friends will hold you up and carry you through.
I am sorry you are also dealing with the chicken pox stuff, when my ds was on treatment for ALL I lived in fear of it. I finally ended up getting my other two children the vaccine, I had originally planned on waiting until they were ten.
When we came home from his first hospitalization after diagnosis, my other two had colds. We had nothing in the way of supplies, we were waiting for our visit from our home nurse and the supply delivery. I had everyone wear bandanna's......Toy Story was popular at the time and Woody was a favorite in our house, and we all played cowboy. I am sorry that you can't be with Matt, I feel your pain of wanting to be in two places.
I am praying that tomorrow the results are positive, that Matt is either in remission or well on his way.
