I thought I was safely heading toward my second trimester - I went in for an ultrasound and there was no heartbeat. The OB thinks the baby died about two weeks ago. I am broken hearted. We had two ultrasounds in the last month that showed a healthy growing baby with a great heartbeat. She offered me a D and C, but I am opting just to let nature take its course. I hope that was the right decision. Please pray for me and for my family.
UPDATE: Thank you so much for all your prayers. Please keep me in your prayers. Nothing has happened over the past week except that my morning sickness is finally going away. I have an appt today and the I think I am going to probably get some medicine to make this process start. I met with my pastor yesterday who offered to bury the little one in the rose garden at the Grotto at our church. That is a real comfort. Pray for my strength.
UPDATE #2 : I was too far along for the medicine so on Monday morning I had the D and C. Last evening, we buried our little baby at our Church. Our pastor did a beautiful little service. Part of it read:
"O God, whose beloved Son did take the little children into his arms and bless them, Give us grace, we beseech thee, to entrust this child to thy never-failing care and love, and bring us all to they heavenly kingdom, through the same, thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen"
