Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

WOW...I didn't know it was possible not to like pork!

I say God bless the pig farmer!

Peace to your day!

Dinner - pork tenderloin cooked in apple cider and rosemary. Rosemary garlic roast potatoes. Steamed green beans. (usually meatless on Wed - but I need to use the tenderloin in my fridge)

DH saw this and wants to come to your house for this meal. I won't cook pork since I don't like it. He's dying for some.

Monique - I never ate pork until last year - did not like it either. But I was told to get more variety from chicken and turkey. Especially since we have not had a grassfed bulk beef buy in months. Once I started I quite liked it. I wish I could afford the healthy aerator pork - but for now I just get a tenderloin or bacon from trader joes and sometimes the Applegate ham. My dh and children love pork.

That's just it, I've just read too many things about what pigs eat and tape worms that are on the bones and all kinds of nasty stories so I can't bring myself to eat it. We don't really have a good way to buy it other then at a store so I do without. Maybe if we had a reliable source I could at least serve it to my family.

Same here Monique. Now I am feeling sick just thinking about it. Plus I lived in Africa as a child where things like tape worm and pig farms were a reality. Maybe I am going back to just the bacon. The Wellshire Farm bacon is healthy I think and so is Applegate organic ham. There is a farm Polyface which delivers locally for their aerator pork - just never got organized enough to order.
