Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We had big, green salads and those that were still hungry had leftover fried rice.

I really feel like having soup and bread after reading this thread!

However, we are having spaghetti and meatballs, peas, and bread if I can find a recipe for artisan bread that is ready to go in 5 minutes (I put the book on my wishlist, but if anyone is willing to share a basic recipe, I'd appreciate it!). I think dd will be in charge of the sauce and pasta...she enjoys developing the 1/4 of herself that is Italian.

Soup and bread for us... Well, it's dumplings (with parsley, which my son LOVES) and bunches of canned and frozen things. I'm headed for a simplicity-based menu, but first we're literally using up everything in the pantry (which includes a LOT of items donated to us during my no/low-income days). Tonight it's can of refried beans, can of corn, cream of celery, bag of frozen peas, bit of chicken flavored buillion, with some extra water and the dumplings....

Came back to finish this post after dinner: success! I love when this happens! With just the two of us, we'll be eating this for a week, but it's delicious!

Leftover roasted sweet potatoes and zuchinni, and leftover potato-cheddar-red pepper frittata. With some homemade garlic cheese bread. My husband's at the dojo, so it was just me and the little one.

This must be soup day!
I made cabbage/potato/kielbasa soup in the crockpot to have after we arrived home from a quick trip to the market. My mom happened to be out at the same time and met us at the market. She kidnapped my kids and took them to McDonald's .

I guess I know what we will be having during the snowstorm that we are expecting tomorrow.

Blessings,
