Rachel, potatoes with horseradish sounds really yummy. Could you pass along the recipe? |

Sure!
This comes from my The Art of German Cooking, by Betty Wason
Meerettichkartoffeln
(translated to Potatoes with Horseradish Cream)
4-6 potatoes
boiling salted water
salt
1 Tbsp butter
freshly ground pepper
1/2 c dairy sour cream
1 tbsp horserasish
minced parsley
melted butter
Cook the potatoes in the boiling salted water until done; drain. Put potatoes back in pan, sprinkle with salt. Recover pan, shake potatoes until the potatoes are mealy. Mash, adding butter and pepper, then add sour cream, horseradish, and a little minced parsley. Whip as for mashed potatoes, and then serve with melted butter on top. Very good with pot roast
The above is all straight from the book. There are some other good recipes in here I am intending to try. This is an old copy from 1967, still with the dust jacket.

And, Nancy, I'll echo Lisa's request for the recipe...lol
(I've got a ton of pork to use up from the pig we butchered in Dec).

???? Do share!
Is that like Shrimp Scampi only minus the shrimp, substitute chicken?
Sounds delish!
