Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, you mean this?

I go through periods where I feel panicked about whether we should be more formal, and then other periods when we are super relaxed and everything is just wonderful. Usually, I end up doubting our relaxed method because it seems too easy and enjoyable. People say, "I don't know how you homeschool," and I think to myself should this be harder than it is??

Maybe I need to paint this on my wall or something!Suzanne, I completely forgot about that thread. I did a search after you mentioned that I've said this before.

So next time I mention some great program we are going to try, or how we are going to completely change things around.... one of you whop me upside the head, will you?

Sarah,
I'm so glad you have had that talk with your dd. I know how it is too! I was doing pretty good with baking a couple weeks ago, but that has gone on the wayside a bit. I want to bring that back but it comes down to the mess at times!

I got a really easy knitted wash cloth pattern from a friend. I'm making them now and dd wants to do one too. Last weekend we went to Panera and made a scrapbook. Her scrapbook. I just used pictures, printer paper, protector sleeves, and a binder and other supplies we had on hand. She really liked that. I think just relaxing and trying not too many things helps so much. I am glad you have found this out.

And, I so know about changing up what you are doing. I do that all the time too!
