Just finished knitting a tea cozy from www.knitty.com
SInce I knitted one too small for my friend's pot  , will be knitting the larger one this weekend.
Any experienced tea cozy users? Any favorites?

I got a triniTEA for Christmas!  . After a couple of false starts, it's working beautifully. It only makes four cups at a time, but that gives me an excuse to use my stoneware teapot too  .

Actually, I'm sending it back today.  It doesn't consistently drain from the middle chamber, so my tea gets "stuck" and oversteeps. I'm going to ask for an exchange and try one more time, because when it does work, it IS way cool!

The second tea cozy worked great and had just enough yarn to finish. Although, would not have minded going back for a second skein, beautiful stuff.
We do not have a tea cozy but might try to make one for us after I spin up some of our sheep's wool. I really like small projects.
With the knitty.com pattern I might like to use a button to close the cozy at the handles and tie the top.

So, the triniTEA was a toal bust ; does anyone have an automatic tea maker? There are a million different coffee makers, do tea drinkers need to unionize or something?
Also, does anyone have a good source for loose tea, particularly decaf loose tea? Adagio.com appears to be totally out of decaf...

I was at Wal-Mart and saw the Tea Drop Hot Tea Makerby Sunbeam. Has anyone else seen it?

Oh yes the water makes a huge difference in my opinion. That's one of the reasons I started putting milk in my tea when I was in England with you Kathryn. I drink my tea plain at home (except Chai which you MUST put milk in). I'll admit I'm really fussy about water. We have a 5 stage undercounter RO filter and the water tastes so good it makes it quite difficult to have non-filtered water. I love tea but generally not herbal tea (though people tend to give it to me a lot because they know I like tea - I give it to the kids.). I'll drink any kind of black tea generally but to be honest I simply prefer a good cup of Lipton (no store brand thank you very much) over anything else. It's not at all sophisticated but I don't care, it's what I like.  I drink it all day long in the winter (hardly at all in the summer - though I will make iced tea if the mood hits me) and keep it hot on my desk with an electric warmer that came with the house. I love the look of the tea makers and such but I just don't have time for all these gadgets and in truth I just don't need them. I do wonder though, as you did Kathryn, why the electric pots to heat water haven't become more popular here. I have been meaning to get one but just haven't had the time to research which one to get.

Oooohh I need a cozy! I have a lovely little metal pot that I picked up several years ago at an estate sale. I love using it but it gets cold pretty fast and I can't put it on the warmer beacuse it's metal and gets too hot. I just started knitting again (after many years of not knitting!) and would love to make a cozy to fit it. Thanks for the idea Viv!
