We've only been married for 1 1/2 years, and it has been rocky since January. My dh is very upset about the money spent and still owing for our legal battle. And there is no end in sight. We have already paid our attorney more than he made this entire year. He is so angry at the state of our finances in this economy. He wants us to go into future proceedings without legal representation. I told him that is just foolish. He actually said divorce an hour ago. I love my dh, but I'm not willing to risk losing my son. I'm running out of prayers and I really need some help.

I always find comfort in that sentiment when times are hard.

I will offer a Christmas novena for your marriage as well. You've certainly had more than your share of suffering.
I will not begin to say I understand your husband's position though I sympathize with the whole financial dilemmi. Anyone would. Of course he's upset. Today's economy is making many marriages rocky and many emotions run high, but when he married you he also married your children.

Hugs to you, Paula. It is so difficult when we are handed more than we bargained for, and your difficulties this year have been many! Praying for dh in his struggles as provider in these crazy economic times, and praying for your marriage--that the graces of the sacrament may be poured out upon you both right now.
