Well surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. Please keep us in your prayers!

THANK YOU all sooo much for your well-wishes and prayers! They mean more to us than you could know!
Peter James did very well with surgery. They gave him a shot in his lower back to numb the area for about 6 hrs and by last night it was wearing off. They are giving him tylenol infant drops for pain and it seems to be doing the trick and got him over that rough spot which I found surprising. He was rather out of it after surgery but is incredibly alert this morning. It seems like he is making up for lost time! He is turning his head and talking to EACH of the children and smiling at them between hic-ups...LOL I can tell he is a little sore, but it does this momma's heart good to hear him cooing today!
I felt so lost after they took him into surgery and they sent me out to the waiting room armed with some graham crackers and juice (the nurses' equivalent to chocolate and coffee as that was what they had on hand) A lovely lady seeing the empty car seat started to chat with me and asked me if I was a Christian...I held up my rosary beads and nodded yes...she said, "Obviously" with a smile and told me that God is taking care of my son so she would keep ME company for awhile. Turns out she lives in Scranton, Pennsylvania just up the street from my Grandfather...lol...small world. She was originally from Jordan and had a large family and I asked her a lot of questions about what it was like growing up, the food she made ..etc. It was a wonderful experience for me and made the time go fast Deo Gratias!
This morning I am just going to sit and nurse and read to the kids. I have had enough excitement for now....

Oh, I know that feeling. Corey had oral surgery at the age of 4 and, after they took him down the hall, I went in the bathroom and wept over the sink. It was dreadful!

Thanks for sharing that experience, Donna Marie. Sounds like she was a wonderful Simon of Cyrene for you. One of the many little gifts God sends us during these times of trial.
