Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wow, less than 10g of carbs a day is tough! I won't complain about the SCD diet anymore.

I've only got one possible treat recipe that you probably already have for easy peanut butter cookies. This recipe can make about 12 cookies. Mix 1 egg with 1 cup natural peanut butter and 1 tsp vanilla. The original recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar which I was able to halve very easily. I used a recipe calculator and by reducing the sugar to 1/4 cup the total carbs came down to 8.4g per cookie.

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 16-18 minutes until set.

I'm not sure if it will be a treat worth spending all those carbs on but will offer it to you just in case.

BTW - thanks for posting this question, I'm so pleased to find all these non-food ideas!

Also, we can try our hand at making our own pinata for Dec 12. The kids love, love, love pinatas- it will be messy and fun to try to make our own.

You might also want to make papel cortado. Big bang for little effort .

Love,
