My dad needed emergency surgery this morning to remove his appendix. He's 80, but he came through the surgery fine, and now he just needs a good recovery.

Please say a prayer for him and my mom as we go through the next few days.

UPDATE:
Dad has had a setback, he is now off anything by mouth, and there is no expected day of release. So please keep the prayers comings. Thanks so much!

UPDATE 2:
I know the forum with be closing soon, so I wanted to get this in. My Dad needs some more testing tomorrow morning-if it can wait that long-to see if he has a intentinal blockage. This will require surgery-so we need to be praying that it is NOT this.
He had a bad day today, so my mom is staying the night with him, and we will relieve her tomorrow to go home and shower and such. Of course, my hospital phobia is starting in, so a quick prayer for me would be appreciated also---I can't melt down quite yet....

Update 11/17
Dad had emergency surgery for a total intestinal blockage-he is in ICU on a ventilator-they will try to remove it tomorrow. We have been told it will be a long, very hard recovery. Please pray for my Mom. She won't leave the hospital.

#4 11/17 night
Thanks for the prayers, Dad has had the ventilator removed and will hopefully be out of ICU sometime tomorrow. We all appreciate your prayers soooo much! Thanks!!

11/20 It took alot longer than expected but my Dad is out of ICU-praise the Lord.    There is still a long road ahead, but at least things are beginning to look brighter!
