It looks like we're having another girl, but we're having trouble choosing a name. We've got a boy name picked out tha we both love, but no girl name!
I REALLY like Alice Marie. Dh doesn't like the middle name so much. So, I'm trying to think of other middle names to pitch to him. Here's the thing: it has to be a Marian name. All our girls have a name the is a reference to Our Lady. Our oldest is Mary Elizabeth, then Anna Rose (after Our Lady, the Mystical Rose, then Lucia Grace (after Our Lady of Grace), then Clara Joy (after Our Lady, Cause of Our Joy).
Help me out...any suggestions?
Thanks!

How interesting, my three girls also have a Marian theme,
Chiara Marie, Mariah Therese and Genevieve Rose (Our Lady of the Rosary).
So as he's not keen on Marie, and you have used Rose, what would dh think of Mariah?

What about Alice Fatima? Or Alice Faith, from Faithful Virgin? Or Alicia Star, from Morning Star (Gate of Heaven).....
Never mind, I can't even think of a name for the new kitten

How about Regina or Coeli? Miriam? Okay, now I'm reading the Litany to the Holy Name of Mary ...Immaculata...Virginia...Gloria...Hope...Loreto...Carmel.. .Mercy...Wow, this is kind of fun. Haven't had the chance to do the baby girl name thing around here!
Let us know what you come up with.

oooo, I do like the way Alice Mary sounds...but I already have a Mary Beth! Do you think that would be weird to use the first name of one of my girls as a middle name?
I like Alice Virginia, too...hadn't thought of that one.
Lots of good suggestions, thanks! I will try them out on dh and get back to you!

I have a Mary Katherine, and this little one (unless she suprises us as a he!) Will be Margaret Mary. I also have a Molly, which is a form of Mary. I think there can never be enough little Mary's! :)

Since Our Lady Queen of the Angels, is patroness of the state of Kansas, perhaps Alice Angelica.
Celine and Celeste, "heavenly";
Carissima "dearest";
Consuela or Consolata "from Our Lady of Consolation"; Eva or Eve, "life" (Mary is the new Eve);
Guadalupe (or Lupe);
several variants of Mary...Mae, Marilyn, Marya,
Maureen, Miriam, Moira;
Mercedes, "mercy";
Regina "queen";
Sophia or Sophie "wisdom".
Marianna or Marianne, giving honor to both the Blessed Mother and her own dear mother, St. Anne (and Alice's own older sister).
Alice Virginia and Alice Victoria are also quite pretty and truly fit the Marian focus of your daughters' lovely names! May Our Lady bless your maternity and each of your precious children.

So far, dh likes Alice Victoria most out of all the suggestions I pitched to him. He's still not crazy about the name Alice, though (and why not??? he's such a stubborn man! ).
I really like Alice Sophia, but our last name is Sauer...so she could never have anything monogrammed w/ her initials on it!
I will have to try out Alice May and Alice Maureen on dh...I like those a lot, too. And one of my dearest friends is Maureen!
So many good suggestions! Lots I hadn't thought of! Thanks!
Dawn

I like Alice Moira; but then, I have a Claire Moira.
Peace,
Nancy
ETA: Alice Hope? I also have an Alison Hope. Alison was a sort of conglomeration/compromise when dh wanted Alice and I favored Ellen.

Dawn Alice Sophia is beautiful - but, er, yeah, ya just can't do that!
I also love the name Alice, very classic and feminine. Alice Victoria is lovely too!

Just a thought, but have you considered a variant of Alice? Like Alicia? Alicia May sounds rather pretty, too.

I like Alice Sophia (or Sofia). I have a Sophie Mireille which calls to mind OL of Wisdom (Sophie), and OL Miraculous Medal (Mireille is French for miraculous).
Alice Mireille is beautiful.
Blessings,
