Thank you all so much - I am so bowled over by all the prayers and kindness and love.
I am feeling a lot better this morning. The pain and swelling are down. I still have residual scarring - I would really appreciate a "vain" prayer that the scarring and pigmentation will eventually go - because I cannot even wear make up to cover up the scars
It is so frustrating for me (who likes to know everything!) to not be able to figure this out or do anything about it. But I keep trusting and praying that God is in control.
I get more anxious about taking allergy medication when pregnant - but the OB says that it is fine when I need to.
Big hugs and thanks to all of you again.

Marilyn - I don't even want to tell you all the drugs I have to take when I'm pregnant. I don't like it either, but thanks be to God they are available and can be used prudently to alleviate medical challenges!
I'm still praying for all your intentions and I'm so glad the worst has passed. Be gentle on yourself my friend! God does love you so very much and your generosity and humility do allow Him to gently guide all for your good!

Dear all
Please pray for me (again!) I saw a dermatologist (recommended by my Catholic OB)today - he was very very kind - but he scared me. First he said that all the other derms had not been good in their choice of medication - the meds had probably caused more harm and damaged my skin. Secondly - he did a load of tests and said he was very concerned about the possibility of autoimmune illness (trying to avoid using the Lupus word). The good thing is that I had a biopsy in March which I am sure came back negative - but I have to contact the other doctors to have the results sent to him.
Please please pray
- for peace for me - I am terrified for me and our new little one
- for the diagnosis not to be a really horrid one - if this be the will of God
- tomorrow as I have to contact the other practice for my biopsy results - they are the ones that have been sickeningly rude and anti-children (the nurse was so rude to me - indicating that anyone who has 5 children and wants more needs a shrink not a doctor!!) Please pray that they will release the results graciously - I cannot deal with any more conflict right now
- I have to stay off all meds while the doctor assesses how bad I get and whether the meds are the problem - please please pray that the flare up will not be too bad, and that my face will not feel and look too bad

The unknown is always unsettling, but thanks be to God your new derm. is so motivated to find the source of these challenges you face and offer you real solutions!

Oh Marilyn, as scary as the process looks from the outside, it seems you have finally found a doctor determined to get this right. That is a relief. I pray his vigilance pays off and you get some answers and relief quickly. We have a basket of little unborn babies that we place at the feet of our Mary statue on the mantle. We have added a little one for you and tucked it in nearest the feet of our dear Mother so that we will remember to pray special protection for that sweet babe.
