Hi Everyone,
I would be most thankful if you could offer up prayers for Lily the rest of the week....she is having her cleft repair tomorrow morning, Oct. 28th.
This is the surgery they had to cancel in August after she quit breathing a few times prior to the start of the cleft surgery...They had just scoped her airway, and they think that triggered bronchospams that shut her airway down...so tomorrow, no "add-on" surgeries, just the cleft. Please pray for good pain control, cleft repairs are very painful  ...and she is already getting four teeth....three molars, and she is very fixated on putting anything she can in her mouth. After the surgery, Lily will be wearing elbow restraints for at least 3-4 weeks....and can't put one thing in her mouth. It is going to be a long haul. Fortunately, she is g-tube fed, so we don't have to worry about eating....and after this is healed, we can approach eating by mouth again!! 
Thanks to all of you....I pray for all of your intentions!! I will try to update if I have a computer at the bedside.
UPDATE!! I am so thankful to be writing at 1 AM from my own computer, that Lily is upstairs, being held by Daddy, and we are all feeling better being HOME!!! Poor sweet girl, it has been a very long two days. I am thankful she made a big turn around today at 4PM....prior to that it didn't look promising that we would go home...but she perked up, got some real clothes on, and took a stroll around the unit in a stroller......She hates the arm restraints, but is doing okay.....pain is still an issue, but I think these next few days are the worst, and then we will be heading in the right direction.
God Love you ALL for your precious prayers and attentiveness to my little sweetheart. I am so happy she is sleeping in her own bed tonight without all of the interruptions that hospitals bring.

I'll be holding Lily's intentions close to my heart, I remember too well what suffering she went through when the operation was attempted earlier, that darling girl of yours will be in our prayers!

Diana, we will be praying for Lily tomorrow. We will pray for all to go well and for her to get through the operation with the best pain relief, and for Mum & Dad to have the best pain relief as well - peace. We'll pray also for her to heal well.

I just spoke with Lily's mom - Lily made it through 5 hours of very tough surgery, and is stable - but she is in a lot of pain. Please keep up your prayers for Lily and her mama who has to watch her pain - and please pray that the surgery will be a success.
