Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Sorry for this to take so long, but I did talk to Katherine this week-end and she said the symbols on Serendipity are indeed the Leaflet Missal Scripture Trees symbols. They extend through Epiphany on the site according to Katherine's recollection...

Pulling this back up again...

Is it just some of the symbols from the first tree that are re-used in the 12 Days of Christmas, or is it more than that?

I don't think I want to do two trees for Advent and Lent plus the 12 Days of Christmas. I'm more drawn to either the 12 Days or the Lenten projects, but I don't quite understand if I can do the 12 Days project without the Jesse Tree project???

Terrible question, but does anybody sell these pre-cut??? I know some of the Bible story flannels come pre-cut now. Just thought I'd ask. I have bought several sets of flannel sets and have yet to cut any of them out.

Just bumping this up with some questions:

I received my Jesus tree kit last Lent. With hyperemesis I did not manage to cut it all out - but we did the Bible readings and it was great with just these.

I just realized this week that I had not done it AGAIN - and Lent starts next week. If we get snow plowed I will go to Michaels and get some things I need. Otherwise dd will do drawings of the symbols, stick them on purple paper, laminate and we will hang from our ornamental Jesse tree.

In case I do get to cut out all the felt - I wondered how you get the felt symbols to stick to the tree - do I need to get some kind of velcro or something from Michaels?

I highly recommend Jessica's posts on the Jesus Tree - even if you do not have the kit - she has the readings and other activities.

Marilyn, I have used mine for several years now and after fighting with trying to keep the felt on the tree, I brought some velcro. You only have to use one side (the hooks I think). I just cut very small pieces to keep it on the banner. I actually lost a few pieces (no I could not find them anywhere) and that is part of what motivated me to purchase the velcro.

I hope that you find the time to cut them out. I bet Abby could help you out and I did mine as Lent progressed. Just set aside a bit of time each evening to work on it. It was well worth it.

Can someone link Jessica's posts on the Jesus tree?
