Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Well, I had leafy greens on the 22nd. Walked 1.85 mi in 47 mins. on the 22nd and 1.36 mi in 26 mins. on the 23rd. I am sick so will not be walking today.

I know what you ladies mean about letting the health habits go. We got some concerning medical imaging results for my husband the other day and I questioned whether I should still prioritize spending time on an exercise walk, even that very evening, but I felt maintaining the fairly new habit was important enough to be worth that half hour or so. My husband agreed that stopping exercise wouldn't be a good thing to do in the face of added stress.

I had broccoli on the 25th. No walking, been sick. I don't feel too bad but my voice is still really "crunchy," even ended up just whispering a lot.

I'm prone to bronchitis. Not to give medical advice so check it out if this applies to you, but I thought I'd read exercise really wasn't good for bronchitis, so I'm not sure when I'll start again :( One recent year I had bronchitis for like a month, just laughing or walking downstairs with some laundry could end me up with huge coughing fits. (If anyone read my "memory problems" post, trouble with "word finding" can also be an MS thing and that's been happening to me a lot lately too. Well, I wrote out "coffee trips" at first before "coughing fits." Sigh...)

I typically get Bronchitis every October, but this time it turned into Pneumonia also. As far as exercise, I just play it by ear. I do what I can, and don't worry about the rest.

I pray that you are all doing your best too :)

Angi, sorry about your pneumonia. I will pray for your health.

What this cold left me with most noticeably was a hoarse voice. I still have it. Any bronchitis must be pretty mild though. Returned to walking yesterday, only 20 minutes, .77 miles. And today, 1.52 miles in 39 minutes. I had leafy greens on the 29th and 30th.

So, during October, I met my 1/2 hour walking goal on 16 out of 31 days, and my 1/2 cup leafy greens goal on 14 out of 31 days.
