I wanted to come back and add, the passage from John's gospel, John 15:13 is in my mind constantly as I pray.

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man gives up his life for his friends."

I know that Our Lady has this heroic and sacrifical man in her mantle today.

I am thinking of this too. What a beautiful way to go. Not every parent gets to truly give their life for their child.
God bless the whole family in this really sorrowful and hard time.
I am praying so hard.
