group?
I saw the idea on a blog (and I can't find the post to link it) but I didn't qualify because I don't have an active blog myself...
Anyway, I have been trying to handwrite more letters lately. It seems to be a lost art!
I'm thinking a group of 6-8 would work best. I would write a letter and send it the the second person. She would add her letter and send it on. When the packet got back to me I would remove my first letter and add a new one. It's fun to get mail and I think it would be a good way to get to know one another!
If you are interested please pm me your name and mailing address. If there is lot's of interest I can make two groups!

This sounds really interesting! I'm sure my girls (who have their own penpals) would love to see me writing to my penpals too!

I'd love to be a part of this. I knew a family who did this year round, and it was so fun to see their packets and all the "talking" they did with each other this way. I love to write letters, and receiving them is rather fun too

Well, it seems I can't pm a group of people at once...so I'll put all the info here.
We are up 12 people. I am willing to do one large group of 12 but that would mean a couple of things:
-a longer time for the packet to get to you
-more postage required to mail the packet on
We could split into groups of six.
I vote for keeping one large group as I want to get to know everyone!!
Let me know what you think. My goal is to get my letter in the mail on Tuesday. With my letter I'll include copies of names/mailing addresses.

Twelve would be kind of fun!! maybe we could try to write tiny or use lightweight stationary to keep postage costs down??

With Mary G and Natalia we are at 15...so I am definitely closing the group now. If it gets to be too much (too much time waiting for your packet of letters, too much postage to send it on, etc.) let me know and we will break into smaller groups.
